Layout

The Organization Profile is divided into three sections: Basic Info, Contact Info, and Custom Fields. Each section contains editable key–value pairs — the label is fixed, and the content (value) can be updated by your team.

Basic Info

These fields describe your organization’s identity and background:

  • Logo — upload or update your organization’s logo

  • Organization name — official name as it should appear on proposals

  • Type — select your organizational category (e.g., nonprofit, university, foundation)

  • EIN — Employer Identification Number (for U.S.-based organizations)

  • Year founded — the year your organization was established

  • Annual operating budget — your most recent annual budget amount

  • Fiscal year end — when your fiscal year closes

  • Website — your primary web address

  • Mission statement — your core purpose or guiding statement

💡 Keeping this section current ensures that funder-facing materials are accurate and consistent across all applications.

Contact Info

These fields define who and where your organization’s key people are:

  • Primary office address — your main physical location

  • Mailing address — address for official correspondence

  • Phone — general contact phone number

  • Email — primary email for grant communications

  • Organization leader name — your executive director, president, or equivalent

  • Primary grant contact — the person responsible for proposal correspondence

💡 This information auto-fills in templates and can be inserted directly into documents via the Organization Profile dropdown in the editor.

Custom Fields

In this section, you can create your own key–value pairs for additional organizational details — for example:

  • “501(c)(3) Letter Date”

  • “DUNS Number”

  • “Regional Focus”

  • “Top Funding Priorities”

💡 Custom fields are flexible: use them to store any information that’s unique to your organization or relevant to specific funders.

Editing the Profile

  1. From the sidebar, go to Organization → Profile

  2. Click into any editable field to modify the section’s items

  3. Click ‘Save changes’ when finished editing individual iteams

💡 You can update information at any time — Grantable will immediately use the latest data in AI drafting and document templates.

Using the Profile in the Editor

  • In the Document Editor toolbar, use the Organization Profile dropdown to insert any field directly into your document at your cursor.

  • In the AI Settings Panel, toggle Use Organization Profile on or off to control whether the AI references this information while generating content.

💡 This lets you instantly insert consistent, pre-approved information — without having to retype it in every proposal.

Key takeaway: The Organization Profile is your single source of truth for organizational information. Maintain it carefully, and use its fields to keep every AI-assisted draft accurate, consistent, and funder-ready.
