Create professional, ready-to-edit documents like Letters of Intent, Letters of Support, and Logic Models using Grantable’s built-in templates.

1. Open a new document
From the sidebar, go to Documents
Click + New document in the top right corner

💡 You can also create new documents directly from a Grant project — they’ll appear in your Documents Library automatically.
2. Choose a template
When the new document opens, you’ll see a blank page with several template buttons in the empty stage.

Click a template such as Letter of Intent, Letter of Support, or Logic Model
A setup modal will appear asking for short, template-specific details (for example, recipient name, organization, purpose, program name, or partner information)
Fill in the requested fields and click Create document

💡 Each template is pre-formatted with the right structure and sections to get you started faster.
3. Review and refine the generated draft
After you create the document, Grantable automatically:
Generates a formatted draft directly on the page
Fills in your entered details in the appropriate places
Opens the document in the editor, ready for AI-assisted editing
You can now:
Highlight any section and use chat prompts to expand, rewrite, or adjust tone
Attach source materials using the @ icon or paperclip
Save and export your draft once finalized

💡 Templates are just starting points — you can freely edit or build on them like any other document.
4. Reusing or customizing templates
Templates are available anytime from the blank document stage
Future updates may allow saving custom templates specific to your organization’s style or recurring proposal types
💡 If you frequently write similar documents, note what you reuse — these patterns make great candidates for future custom templates.
✅ Key takeaway: Document templates let you skip repetitive setup and start with a professional, structured draft. Just choose a format, fill in the short form, and Grantable will generate a ready-to-edit version you can refine with AI.
