Purpose
The Opportunities Area functions as your grant management hub. It’s designed to track each opportunity from discovery through submission, award, or closure. You can toggle to view your pipeline in either Kanban or Table mode depending on how you like to work.
💡 Think of Opportunities as your live tracker — where grants and projects move across stages from start to finish.
Views
Kanban View
The Kanban board displays opportunities as cards organized by stage.
Add new stages to reflect your workflow (e.g., Researching, Drafting, Submitted, Awarded).
Rename stages to match your team’s process.
Change stage colors for visual clarity.
Reorder stages by dragging them to a new position.
Drag and drop cards between stages as work progresses.

💡 The Kanban view gives you a high-level snapshot of where every opportunity stands at a glance.
Table View
The Table view lists all opportunities in rows for a structured overview.
Columns include:
Opportunity — the opportunity name (click to open its record)
Funder — the associated funder organization
Stage — the current workflow status or Kanban column
Owner — the team member responsible for this opportunity
Description — a short summary or purpose of the opportunity
Search name… — quickly find opportunities by name or keyword
Items per page — adjust how many are displayed at once

💡 Use the table view for detailed review, ownership tracking, and status reporting.
Actions
From the Actions column (three dots menu):
Edit — update the opportunity’s basic details or ownership
Delete — permanently remove the opportunity from your workspace
💡 Deleting an opportunity also removes its links to associated people and applications.
Inside an Opportunity Record
Click an opportunity’s name from either view to open its detailed record.
Each opportunity includes several sections:
Overview
Shows the key details at a glance:
Opportunity name and description
Linked funder
Current stage and owner

💡 Use the overview to orient yourself quickly before reviewing associated work.
Notes
A freeform space for internal communication — record strategy updates, eligibility findings, deadlines, or progress notes.
💡 Notes are great for team discussions, check-ins, or reminders.
Applications
Displays all grant applications linked to this opportunity.
Click a grant name to open its record in the Applications Area.
Add or remove linked applications directly from this section.
💡 This section connects your opportunity tracking with real application work in progress.
Associated People
Lists external contacts connected to the opportunity (for example, program officers or liaisons).
Add names, titles, and contact details.
Track relationship development and communication history.
💡 These are not workspace members — they’re external people tied to this opportunity.
Activity Feed
Shows recent changes, updates, or user activity within the opportunity.
Logs edits, new notes, and linked or removed applications.
💡 The feed creates a transparent history of your team’s actions and progress over time.
✅ Key takeaway: The Opportunities Area is your workspace for managing the full lifecycle of your grants — from pipeline planning to application tracking. Use Kanban for big-picture stage management, Table view for structured tracking, and the opportunity record for details, notes, and collaboration.
